One of the most important and most strained components in a laptop can be the laptop power jack. A power jack going on a laptop is one of the most frustrating components to go as it involves taking apart the entire laptop down to the motherboard.
The broken power jack has to be de-soldered off the motherboard. Then a new power jack has to be soldered onto the motherboard.
In the worst case scenario part of the motherboard may become damaged with the power jack resulting in a more difficult repair or damaged beyond repair. Fortunately I have a good success with power jack repairs.
In the event that the motherboard is beyond repair, there is no cost to you.
